Abstract: A quantum secure blockchain framework for Internet of Things (IoT) data protection is disclosed. The framework includes IoT devices, an edge gateway, a post- quantum cryptographic module, a blockchain network, an off-chain encrypted data store, a smart-contract access-control module, and a monitoring and revocation module. An IoT device generates a protected data message containing a payload, device identifier, timestamp, nonce, sequence value, and quantum-resistant signature. The edge gateway validates the signature and freshness information, encrypts the payload using a session key established through a post-quantum key encapsulation or hybrid key-exchange mechanism, stores the encrypted payload off-chain, and records a cryptographic commitment and related metadata on the blockchain. A smart contract enforces policy-based access to the protected IoT data and records access decisions as tamper-evident audit events. The framework supports encrypted batching, Merkle-root anchoring, pseudonymous device identifiers, key rotation, revocation, and post-quantum algorithm agility for long-life IoT deployments.
