Abstract: The present invention relates to a puncture-safe off-highway tyre (OHT) incorporating a sealant-liner sandwich layer designed to seal puncture sites and prevent air loss. The puncture-safe off-highway tyre comprises a base inner liner layer (1) over the drum; a sealant sandwich layer (3); a second liner layer (2) positioned over the sealant sandwich layer which is pre vulcanized; one or more carcass plies (4) applied over the second liner; and a tread package (5) applied over the plies. A sealant compound is extruded and laminated onto a inner-liner sheet to form a composite layer, which is applied centrally over the base inner liner during tyre building. A second liner is applied over the sealant layer to prevent gel migration, followed by ply construction and tread application. The cured tyre has improved adhesion, no sealant leakage, and enhanced puncture-sealing performance.
