Abstract: The present disclosure provides a pump priming control system [100] for controllably priming a fuel injection pump [116] of a vehicle. The pump priming control system [100] comprises a low fuel switch [102] configured to be activated in the event an instantaneous level of fuel in a fuel tank of the vehicle is below a pre-defined threshold level. The pump priming control system [100] further comprises a set of electrically operated switches [104] comprising at least a first electrically operated switch [106] connected at least to the low fuel switch [102]. The first electrically operated switch [106] is adapted to toggle between an open state and a closed state, based on activation and deactivation of the low fuel switch [102] respectively. The first electrically operated switch [106] is toggled for controllably priming the fuel injection pump [116] of the vehicle.
