The instrument comprises thirty-five items on a five-point Likert scale, organised under four dimensions: type of media, type of device, purpose of usage and extent of usage. From a preliminary draft of eighty items trial-administered to three hundred participants, items with a correlation coefficient exceeding 0.195 were retained. Split-half reliability is 0.82 and intrinsic validity is 0.75. The instrument yields dimension-wise and total scores. Four figures illustrate the dimensional structure, construction method, response format and scoring process.
