Abstract: TITLE: A PROCESS OF PREPARATION OF POSTBIOTIC SYRUP COMPOSITION FOR THE PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT OF URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS APPLICANT: MEENAKSHI ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a process of preparation of postbiotic syrup composition for prevention and management of urinary tract infection, comprising: a. culturing Lactobacillus reuteri and Lactobacillus rhamnosus in de Man–Rogosa–Sharpe (MRS) broth under predetermined conditions to obtain a culture; b. centrifuging the culture at predetermined rpm to obtain a supernatant; c. filtering the supernatant to obtain a cell free postbiotic fraction; d. formulating the postbiotic fraction into a syrup by adding sucrose as sweetener, sodium benzoate and xanthan gum, followed by adjusting pH using citric acid to obtain postbiotic syrup composition. The present invention also discloses a postbiotic syrup composition for prevention and management of urinary tract infection, prepared by the process as described above.
