Abstract: TITLE: A PROCESS OF PREPARATION OF POLYHERBAL NANOFORMULATION FOR ENHANCED ANTIDIABETIC AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORY EFFICACY APPLICANT: 1. MEENAKSHI ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH 2. MEENAKSHI AMMAL DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a process of preparation of polyherbal nanoformulation with enhanced bioavailability for modulation of insulin resistance and oxidative stress. The process comprises hydroalcoholic extraction of dried and powdered Moringa oleifera leaves, Nigella sativa seeds, Cyperus rotundus rhizomes, Tinospora cordifolia stems, and Pterocarpus marsupium heartwood using an ethanol-water solvent under reflux conditions, followed by filtration and concentration to obtain respective extracts. The extracts are combined to form an extract mixture, which is subsequently encapsulated into chitosan nanoparticles through ionic gelation by addition of chitosan solution and sodium tripolyphosphate under magnetic stirring, followed by lyophilization. The invention further relates to the resulting polyherbal nanoformulation exhibiting improved bioavailability and potential therapeutic efficacy in managing insulin resistance and oxidative stress.
