Abstract: TITLE: A PROCESS OF PREPARATION OF HERBAL MINERAL TOOTH POWDER FOR ORAL CARE APPLICANT: MEENAKSHI ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a process of preparation of herbal mineral tooth powder formulated for comprehensive oral care. The composition integrates Kadukai (Terminalia chebula) powder, guava leaf powder, clove powder, Karpooravalli (Coleus amboinicus) leaf powder, turmeric powder, garlic powder, rock salt, and mineral-rich black sesame ash in optimized proportions. Unlike conventional herbal powders that rely on coarse charcoal or salt and lack remineralization support, the present formulation provides a balanced profile of antimicrobial, anti- inflammatory, remineralizing, and breath-refreshing properties. The process involves shade drying of herbal ingredients, pulverization, controlled combustion of black sesame seeds to obtain ash, and homogenization of powders in defined concentrations. The resultant composition reduces plaque, strengthens gums, purifies breath, stimulates salivation, and supports natural remineralization, while being low-foaming, fluoride-free, and free from artificial additives. The invention introduces underutilized herbs such as guava leaf and Karpooravalli for enhanced oral hygiene efficacy.
