Abstract: TITLE: A PROCESS OF PREPARATION OF HERBAL HYDROGEL FOR ENHANCED SKIN HYDRATION AND ANTI- AGING APPLICANT: MEENAKSHI ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a process of preparation of herbal hydrogel composition incorporating extract of Borassus flabellifer (ice apple) for topical application in skin hydration and anti-aging therapy. The invention utilizes concentrated ice apple extract, rich in phenolics, flavonoids, carotenoids, and vitamin C, incorporated into a carbopol-based hydrogel matrix with humectants and stabilizers. The process involves aqueous maceration of fresh fruit pulp, filtration, concentration, and gradual incorporation into a hydrated polymer dispersion, followed by pH adjustment with triethanolamine to yield a clear, stable hydrogel. The hydrogel is lightweight, cooling, and biocompatible, making it suitable for sensitive and aging skin. This invention offers a natural, eco-friendly alternative to synthetic anti-aging products with multifunctional benefits of hydration, rejuvenation, and skin barrier enhancement.
