MEENAKSHI AMMAL DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a process of preparation of an herbal face cream formulation for skin brightening, antioxidant protection, and anti-inflammatory benefits comprising the steps of: a. pulverizing dried Pathimugam Pattai and subjecting powdered Pathimugam Pattai to extraction using ethanol:water by maceration, followed by filtration and concentration to obtain a Pathimugam Pattai extract; b. heating beeswax, cetyl alcohol, stearic acid, and almond oil until melted to form an oil phase; c. heating distilled water, glycerin, aloe vera gel, and potassium sorbate to form an aqueous phase; d. emulsifying the aqueous phase into the oil phase under continuous stirring and cooling and incorporating the Pathimugam Pattai extract and vitamin E with gentle stirring and homogenizing and filling into sterile polypropylene containers under aseptic conditions to obtain the herbal face cream formulation.
