Abstract: TITLE: A PROCESS OF PREPARATION OF HERBAL DERMAL PATCH FOR INFLAMMATORY SKIN DISORDERS APPLICANT: MEENAKSHI ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a process of preparing of an herbal dermal patch for management of inflammatory skin disorders. The process comprises shade drying Abrus precatorius leaves, pulverizing, and subjecting the powder to Soxhlet extraction using a hydroalcoholic solvent comprising ethanol and distilled water under heating to obtain an Abrus precatorius extract. The extract is concentrated by evaporation using a water bath or heating mantle to obtain dried extract. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC K4M) is dissolved in distilled water and ethanol and stirred to obtain a polymer solution. The dried extract is dissolved in ethanol and incorporated into the polymer solution, followed by addition of polyethylene glycol (PEG-400) and propylene glycol to obtain a casting solution. The casting solution is cast in a Petri dish, covered with an inverted funnel, dried, and peeled to obtain a film, which is subsequently cut into predetermined patches to obtain an herbal dermal patch
