Abstract: TITLE: A PROCESS OF PREPARATION OF FLOWER-BASED HERBAL CAPSULE FOR ANTIDIABETIC AND ANTIOXIDANT MANAGEMENT APPLICANT: SREE BALAJI MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a process for preparing a synergistic herbal capsule composition for diabetes management, comprising: a. pulverizing shade dried flowers of Antigonon leptopus (Polygonaceae) and Senna auriculata (Fabaceae) into fine powder using a mechanical grinder and extracting the powders by cold maceration in ethanol solvent by immersing in ethanol with occasional shaking, followed by filtration to obtain a filtrate; b. evaporating the filtrate to obtain a semisolid extract and drying under vacuum to obtain dried extract; c. blending the dried extracts uniformly with starch, microcrystalline cellulose, and fenugreek mucilage to obtain a blend; d. encapsulating the blend into vegetarian capsule shells composed of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose using standard capsule filling techniques and storing the capsules in airtight, moisture resistant containers under ambient conditions protected from light, heat, and humidity, to obtain synergistic herbal capsule composition.
