MEENAKSHI AMMAL DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL ABSTRACT The present invention shall a process of preparation of an abrasive sheet for histological ground section preparation of mineralized dental tissues, comprising the steps of: a. controlled combustion of rice husk at a predetermined temperature to obtain rice husk ash; b. sieving the rice husk ash to obtain sieved rice husk ash; c. dissolving polyvinyl acetate resin in ethanol solvent under continuous stirring to obtain adhesive binder matrix; d. incorporating the sieved rice husk ash into the adhesive binder matrix at a predetermined concentration relative to the binder solution, followed by homogenization to obtain abrasive mixture; e. applying the abrasive mixture uniformly onto a flexible backing substrate selected from cellulose paper or polyester film using a coating blade at a predetermined thickness to obtain coated substrate; f. drying the coated substrate to form abrasive sheet for histological ground section preparation of mineralized dental tissues.
