Abstract: The present invention relates to an advanced carbon dioxide (CO2) capture system that integrates zeolites with a non-aqueous 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP) solution for the efficient removal of CO2 from gas streams, such as industrial flue gases and biogas. The present system leverages the high surface area and selective adsorption properties of zeolites, combined with the CO2 absorption capabilities of AMP, to provide a more effective and energy-efficient alternative to traditional aqueous amine-based CO2 capture methods. The system minimizes energy consumption during regeneration due to the low viscosity, reduced surface tension, and high thermal stability of the non-aqueous AMP solution. The invention offers a scalable and cost-effective solution for large-scale CO2 capture, contributing to efforts in mitigating climate change and achieving global CO2 reduction goals.
