Abstract: A Process for the Production of Value Added Products from Agricultural Crop Residues and Bio-Digestate using Sono-Chemical Treatment The present invention provides a process for the preparation of value added products from agricultural crop residues, lignocellulosic bio-digestate. Through sono-chemical treatment, the process enables the recovery of high purity bio-silica, lignin, and porous carbon or micro-crystalline cellulose, contributing to sustainable waste valorization and circular economy principles. The process involves alkaline hydrolysis followed by sonication at optimized conditions to enhance the solubility of bio-silica and lignin. Subsequent neutralization and acidification steps yield high-purity bio-silica and lignin products as final products. Additionally, the unreacted biomass undergoes thermal activation or carbonization to produce porous carbon. Alternatively, the unreacted biomass can be subjected to acid hydrolysis for the production of micro- crystalline cellulose. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the process across different biomass feedstocks, showcasing its potential for widespread application in biomass conversion technologies.
