Of Soc. Act Act Xxi Of on December 18, 2024, for A Process For The Preparation Of Lenalidomide And Intermediates Thereof.

Abstract: The present invention introduces an environmentally friendly and cost-effective method for synthesizing 3-(4-amino-1-oxo-1,3-dihydro-isoindol-2-yl)-piperidine-2,6- dione (III), commonly known as lenalidomide. This disclosure also includes methods for preparing lenalidomide intermediates I and II. The process avoids hazardous solvents and simplifies post-processing, thereby addressing environmental, health, and safety concerns while reducing production costs.
