Abstract: ABSTRACT A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING ELECTROSPUN LIGNIN NANOFIBERS The present disclosure relates to a process for producing electrospun lignin nanofibers, comprising: (a) dissolving lignin in a carboxylic acid-based solvent to obtain a homogeneous lignin solution; (b) adding a polymeric additive to the homogeneous lignin solution to obtain a spinnable solution; and (c) electrospinning the solution of step (b) under an applied voltage of 10 kV to 15 kV and a tip-to-collector distance of 10 cm to 20 cm to obtain electrospun lignin nanofibers. The present disclosure also relates to the electrospun lignin nanofibers obtained therefrom.
