Abstract: A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A HOT-STAMPED ZN-FE COATED PHS GRADE STEEL SUBSTRATE ABSTRACT 5 The present disclosure provides a process for producing a hot-stamped Zn-Fe coated PHS grade steel substrate. The process involves the steps of providing a Zn-Fe coating with a Fe content of 0.5 wt% to 40 wt% on a PHS grade steel by electroplating. The Zn-Fe electroplated PHS substrate is then directly subjected to hot stamping to produce the hot-stamped Zn-Fe coated PHS grade steel substrate comprising the Zn-Fe coating having a Fe content of about 70 wt% 10 to 80 wt%. The step of directly subjecting the Zn-Fe coated PHS substrate to the hot stamping process significantly reduces the time, energy consumption and cost of the process. The hot- stamped Zn-Fe coated PHS grade steel substrate has good weldability, paintability and improved corrosion resistance. 15
