MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611085157 A) filed by Rswm Limited on July 11, 2026, for A Process For Manufacturing Polyester-Cotton Blended Spun Yarn.
Inventors include Ajay Pangadiya; Rk Gagrani; and Rajeev Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses an effrcient process for manufacturing a polyester cotton blended spun yarn (501) with an integrated mechanical slub effect and differential fiber segregation, eliminating ring frame slub attachments' The precursor polyester slivers (104) and combed cotton slivers (203) are blended at a finisher draw frame (301) to produce a homogeneous sliver (304)' The sliver (304) is processed in a speed frame where top rubber cots (401) are modified with controlled circumferential cuts (403a, 403b) of optimized width (3'0-8'0 mm) and depth (0.3-0.6 mm). These cuts induce localized reductions in fiber grip' triggering drafting irregularities and fiber migration' The resulting roving features thick regions (502) rich in polyester and thin regions (503) rich in cotton' This roving is spun on a. conventional ring frame at standard speeds' producing a yarn (501) with high aesthetic dual-tone visual effects and reduced energy consumption' To be Publtshed with ftgure 6
