Abstract: ABSTRACT A PROCESS FOR AMINOLYSIS OF BIO-BASED POLYESTER INTO AMIDE-FUNCTIONALIZED PRODUCTS [0070] The present invention relates to a process for aminolysis of bio-based polyester into amide-functionalized products. The process enables cleavage of ester linkages with concomitant formation of amide functionalities, providing furan-containing diamides and monoamide-containing products. The process provides good to excellent product yields, , and enables conversion of PEF and PBF into structurally diverse, value-added chemical products rather than merely recovering the corresponding monomers. Thus, the process provides an alternative open-loop chemical upcycling pathway for the valorization of bio-based furan-containing polyester materials. Fig. 1
