Abstract: TITLE: A PRESSURE-RESPONSIVE WRITING INSTRUMENT WITH ADAPTIVE GRIP AND TIP FEEDBACK FOR PEDIATRIC SELF-REGULATION APPLICANT: MEENAKSHI ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a pressure-responsive writing instrument configured to mechanically regulate excessive grip pressure during writing activities through a non-electronic feedback mechanism. The writing instrument comprises an outer barrel, an adaptive grip region having an elastic outer grip layer and an underlying collapsible rib structure, a pressure-transfer sleeve, a spring-loaded lead holder, a retraction spring assembly, and a sliding tip control mechanism operatively associated with a writing tip. Upon application of excessive grip pressure, the adaptive grip region deforms and transmits displacement through the pressure- transfer sleeve to the lead holder, thereby activating the sliding tip control mechanism to partially retract the writing tip or increase frictional resistance within a lead channel to provide immediate mechanical feedback to a user. Upon reduction of grip pressure, the grip region and spring assembly restore the writing instrument to normal writing functionality. The writing instrument operates entirely through mechanical interaction without electronic components.
