MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611103467 A) filed by Suresh Gyan Vihar University on August 27, 2026, for A Pressure Regulated Nasal Delivery Device For Consistent Mucosal Drug Deposition.
Inventors include Dr. Gaurav Sharma; and Dr. Ritu Gilhotra.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: A pressure-regulated nasal delivery device (100) is disclosed for providing consistent mucosal deposition of a pharmaceutical formulation. The device (100) comprises a formulation reservoir (110), metering chamber (120), actuation assembly (130), pressure-regulating assembly (140), flow passage (150), flow-conditioning element (160), and nasal outlet (170). The pressure-regulating assembly (140) controls dispensing pressure independently of variations in user-applied actuation force. The metering chamber (120) controls dose volume, while the flow-conditioning element (160) and nasal outlet (170) facilitate repeatable spray formation and nasal mucosal deposition.
