MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541007639 A) filed by Ather Energy Limited on January 29, 2025, for A Pressure Control Valve Device For A Battery Pack.
Inventors include Vallamkonda, Suraj; H, Mayur; and Chheda, Tushya Paresh.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: A pressure control valve device (28) includes a housing (30) having a first end portion (38) and a second end portion (40). The first end portion (38) is configured to be coupled to a first predefined location of a casing (42) of the battery pack (12). Further, an air permeable member (32) is coupled to the second end portion (40) of the housing (30). The second end portion (40) is configured to protrude outwards from the casing (42) of the battery pack (12). Further, a bidirectional valve (36) is coupled to a holding member (34) disposed within the housing (30). The bidirectional valve (36) is configured to direct a flow of ambient air into or outward from the casing (42) through the housing (30) based on a pressure difference between a pressure within the casing (42) and an ambient pressure and a predefined threshold pressure difference.
