Abstract: The present invention relates to a biodegradable pregnancy testing kit and a method thereof for the detection of pregnancy. The kit is configured to detect the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in a biological sample, preferably urine, using an in vitro diagnostic assay. The pregnancy testing kit comprises a test strip assembly including a sample receiving zone, a reaction zone, and an indicator zone configured to provide a visual test result. At least a substantial portion of the components of the kit are fabricated from biodegradable and environmentally sustainable materials, thereby reducing post-use environmental impact. The invention provides an effective, user-friendly, and eco-conscious alternative to conventional pregnancy test kits while maintaining diagnostic accuracy and reliability.
