MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641110686 A) filed by New Horizon College Of Engineering on September 15, 2026, for A Predictive Child-Safe Parapet System With Temporal Behavioural And Trajectory Analysis.
Inventors include Priya Thomas; and V..
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The increasing need for automated child safety in elevated environments has necessitated the development of intelligent predictive safety systems capable of identifying hazardous movement near parapets before the occurrence of a potential fall. This invention provides a novel predictive parapet safety framework specifically designed for pre-fall hazard identification and adaptive intervention. By integrating multi-sensor activity sensing with temporal behavioural pattern analysis and trajectory convergence analysis, the system evaluates movement characteristics including position, distance, velocity, and time-to-contact for determining the associated risk level. The predictive risk assessment is used to initiate adaptive pre-fall intervention through non-physical deterrent stimuli and caretaker or security alerts, thereby providing an automated safety response without dependence on continuous human supervision.
