MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611067459 A) filed by Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur on May 29, 2026, for A Precision Intradermal Delivery System With Volume Regulation.

Inventor includes Prerna Pandey.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: An intradermal injection system (100) for controlled fractional fluid dispensing. The system (100) comprises a housing (101) defining an internal cavity configured to receive a medicament cartridge (102) containing a medicament and slidably movable stopper (103). A needle assembly (104) having a hollow needle (106) with a distal needle tip (107) is mounted at distal end (105) of the housing (101). A fractional drive module (108) is disposed within the housing (101), operatively coupled to stopper (103) to advance the stopper by fixed incremental distance per actuation for dispensing a predetermined fractional volume. A fluid regulation module (109) is positioned between the cartridge (102) and the needle assembly (104) to restrict reverse fluid flow during dispensing. A depth-limiting nozzle assembly (110) surrounds the needle assembly (104), defines a skin-contact plane, wherein the needle tip (107) extends beyond the plane by a fixed distance of 1.5 mm to 2.0 mm.
