Abstract: A precast plank shear wall (100) includes a base module (102) having dowel bars (102A); and precast reinforcement plank modules (104) having holes (104A) to coaxially receive the dowel bars (102A) therethrough for allowing stackable arrangement of the precast reinforcement plank modules (104) on the upper face of the base module (102) upon axial insertion of the dowel bars (102A) into the holes (104A) of the precast reinforcement plank modules (104). The precast plank shear wall (100) includes a cementitious grout (106) disposed within an annular clearance of the holes (104A) so as to bond the respective dowel bar (102A) inside the holes (104A). The grouted dowel bars (102A) and holes (104A) define a connection interface between the base module (102) and the precast reinforcement plank modules (104). The connection interface transfers lateral load between the base module (102) and the precast reinforcement plank modules (104) under cyclic loading.
