Abstract: The present invention relates to a Prasugrel self-nanoemulsifying pharmaceutical composition and a process for preparing the same. The composition comprises Prasugrel as an active pharmaceutical ingredient, lemon oil as an oil phase, Tween 80 as a surfactant, and Transcutol P as a co-surfactant. The surfactant and co- surfactant are combined in a ratio of 1:1 to form a surfactant–co-surfactant mixture (Smix), and the oil phase and Smix are used in an oil-to-Smix ratio of 1:5. In an embodiment, the composition contains 5 mg of Prasugrel. The composition is prepared by dissolving Prasugrel in lemon oil, followed by addition of Tween 80 and Transcutol P, mixing, and heating at approximately 40°C until complete dissolution is achieved. Upon contact with an aqueous medium, the composition forms an oil- in-water nanoemulsion. The developed formulation exhibits rapid self-emulsification, with an emulsification time of approximately 26 seconds, and the resulting nanoemulsion has a globule size in the range of approximately 100–200 nm. The optimized formulation demonstrates approximately 97.55% cumulative Prasugrel release at 60 minutes under the in-vitro dissolution conditions described herein. The invention provides a self-nanoemulsifying formulation suitable for incorporation into an oral dosage form
