MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631094694 A) filed by Mitdip Infrasolva Private Limited on August 04, 2026, for A Portable Vibration-Based Structural Health Monitoring System Utilizing 5g Communication.
Inventors include Dr. Sayandip Ganguly; Dr. Koushik Roy; Mr. Kowtharapu Venkata Vaishnav Nath; and Dr. Arijit Mondal.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: A portable vibration-based structural health monitoring system (100) utilizing 5G communication is disclosed. The system comprises a portable monitoring device (101) having a three-axis accelerometer sensor module (108), an embedded processing board (102) with a processor unit (103) and a memory unit (105), a 5G communication module (111), and a clamping assembly (101a) removably attaching the device (101) to a structural member (120). The processor unit (103) performs signal conditioning, frequency-domain transformation and modal analysis of the acquired vibration response data and compares the extracted characteristics with baseline structural response data. A machine-learning-based anomaly detection model evaluates structural behaviour, validates sensor integrity and monitors device health from operational telemetry. Summary data is transmitted to a remote monitoring application (121) during normal conditions and detailed vibration data upon detection of a structural anomaly, thereby enabling portable deployment and real-time remote monitoring.
