Abstract: The present invention discloses a portable solar-powered multi-crop drying system (100) for controlled dehydration of diverse agricultural produce, particularly suited for small and marginal farmers operating in off-grid rural regions. The system (100) comprises a portable insulated drying chamber (110) housing stackable perforated trays (120), a solar air heater (130) for hot-air generation, a photovoltaic panel assembly (140) coupled through a charge controller (145) to a rechargeable battery (150), a variable- speed forced convection fan (160), an auxiliary electric heating element (170), a sensor array (180), a plurality of adjustable air vents (200) and a programmable microcontroller-based control unit (190) executing crop-specific drying profiles. A wireless communication module (210) enables remote monitoring via a mobile application. The closed-loop control of temperature and airflow ensures uniform, hygienic and energy-efficient drying of cereals, pulses, fruits, vegetables, spices and medicinal herbs while preserving nutritional and organoleptic quality.
