Abstract: ABSTRACT A PORTABLE GREY WATER TESTING KIT The present invention discloses a portable grey water testing kit (10) for detecting bacterial contaminants, particularly Escherichia coli (E. coli), from the waste water for controlling the spreading of diseases. The testing kit comprises at least one ONPG roll. The ONPG roll (16) is configured to react with the grey water while dispensing, for providing the colour changes to identify the bacterial contamination. The servo motor is configured to provide the positioning as well as rotational movement to the roller. The first set of sensors configured to analyze the intensity and hue of the color change that occurs on the ONPG roll. The raspberry pi pico (15) is configured to process data received from colour detection sensor for identifying the contamination level. The OLED display is configured to present real-time contamination data to the users. The one or more LED indicators configured to provide the instant visual alerts to the user by means of green, yellow and red. The tearing mechanism (19) is configured to allow the user to remove and dispose the used ONPG section by means of pressing a button. The one or more button is configured to restart the testing process at next cycle of operation after removing the used ONPG roll.
