Abstract: The present invention is related to a portable brainwave interrogation system for law enforcement is disclosed, integrating neurotechnology and forensic science to detect cognitive recognition responses during criminal investigations. The system comprises a portable EEG headset with dry electrodes (106) for non-invasive signal acquisition at standard scalp locations, a stimulus presentation module delivering randomised visual and auditory stimuli, and a computing module with an EEG acquisition board (102), ADS1299 analogue front-end (103), and ESP32 microcontroller (104) for real-time signal processing. The system detects P300 event-related potentials indicative of recognition of crime-related stimuli, classifies results using machine learning models, and provides real-time feedback via a graphical user interface. Wireless communication ensures portability, while encrypted data storage supports secure handling and cloud backups. Designed for field deployment in environments such as police stations or mobile units, the system enhances investigative workflows by offering rapid, objective, and scientifically grounded insights into concealed knowledge.
