Inventors include Dr. Rohit Saroha; Mr. Gauri Mudgal; Dr. Muneeb Kosvi; Dr. Soni Singh; and Dr. Ritish Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to a portable, non-electric, dual-modality diagnostic kit for combined autonomic and peripheral nervous system assessment in resource-limited settings. Existing tools for heart rate variability, vibration, thermal discrimination, and tactile threshold testing require electricity or specialist expertise, limiting availability at primary care level. The kit comprises two non-electric modules: (i) a manual autonomic assessment module performing a respiratory sinus arrhythmia- based deep breathing test using a radial pulse wrist band, respiratory pacer card, and RSA scoring template with Ewing Battery reference cutoffs; and (ii) a peripheral sensory nerve module comprising a Semmes-Weinstein 5.07 monofilament, a dual-material thermal discrimination disk, and a spring-mass vibration applicator oscillating at approximately 128 Hz upon compression-release. Components are enclosed in a portable shockproof case with multilingual instructional and referral-logic materials, operable by trained frontline health workers without electricity or software, for screening of autonomic dysfunction and peripheral neuropathy in primary care and rural settings.
