MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611074011 A) filed by Upes on June 15, 2026, for A Polymeric Micellar Composition Of Olaparib Based On Soluplus And A Process For Preparation Thereof.

Inventors include Ananya Bishnoi; Gunjan Vasant Bonde; and Gufran Ajmal.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to pharmaceutical nanocarrier compositions and, more particularly, to an aqueous dispersion of olaparib-loaded polymeric micelles formed using Soluplus as the sole micelle-forming carrier, wherein Soluplus is polyvinyl caprolactam-polyvinyl acetate-polyethylene glycol graft copolymer. The composition comprises self-assembled core-shell micelles in which olaparib is physically entrapped within a hydrophobic core through non-covalent interactions, while the hydrophilic portion of Soluplus forms an outer shell. The invention also provides a process comprising dissolving Soluplus in an organic solvent, adding olaparib, forming a drug-loaded thin film by rotary evaporation at 55 to 60 rpm, and hydrating the thin film with water to induce micelle self-assembly[GB3.1]. The composition may be administered by parenteral or localized route.
