MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621112534 A) filed by Pramod Vishwanath Sabne; and Kailash Vishwanath Sabne on September 19, 2026, for A Playground Boundary Sensing Device.
Inventor includes Pramod Vishwanath Sabne.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: A PLAYGROUND BOUNDARY SENSING DEVICE A playground boundary sensing device (100) is disclosed, comprising a current-carrying layer of electrically conductive material (2B) positioned to face the boundary of a playground. Layer (2B) is configured according to at least one of: (i) being spaced apart from, but in contactable connection with, another conductive layer (2A), such that pressure-induced contact between layers (2A, 2B) completes a circuit and generates a signal through an output means (4); and (ii) being coupled to a capacitive touch sensor (3) that senses a voltage change upon contact of layer (2B) with a conductive object, such as a player's body part, causing signal generation through the output means (4). The device (100) may be housed in a structure (1), optionally with a microcontroller (3'), with a preferred embodiment as a cricket boundary wedge, and application in cricket, kabaddi, sumo wrestling, judo, freestyle wrestling, tennis, badminton, basketball, and volleyball.
