Abstract: The present invention discloses a plastic–jute composite textile material and a process for manufacturing thereof using processed multilayer single-use plastic waste reinforced with natural jute fibers. The invention employs plastic waste obtained from consumer use, where the waste is first cleaned, sterilized, transformed into thin strips, and interlaced with the jute fiber in order to form a composite textile product. The composite material may further be processed through thermal treatment and surface coating using bio-based materials in order to enhance its durability, waterproofing characteristics, antimicrobial properties, and lifespan. The composite thus produced has greater tensile strength, toughness, flexibility, less water absorbency, and load bearing capacity than the standard jute woven fabric.
