The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a photothermal carbon dot serum composition and a method of preparation thereof for acne treatment. The composition comprises carbon dot nanoparticles, a thermo-responsive polymer, and a carrier system. Upon near-infrared light exposure, the carbon dots generate localized heat, enabling targeted antibacterial action. The thermo-responsive polymer enhances adhesion and localization. The formulation provides a non-invasive, antibiotic-free approach for effective acne management.
