MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631089589 A) filed by Kr Lifesciences Private Limited on July 23, 2026, for A Photostable Water-Dispersible Granule Insecticidal Composition.

Inventors include Churiwal, Atul; Ghosh, Kuntal; and Mukherjee, Abhishek.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a water-dispersible granule (WDG) insecticidal composition comprising a bioactive amount of Thiodicarb or an agriculturally acceptable salt thereof, one or more additional insecticides, titanium dioxide as a UV-protective agent, zinc oxide as a performance-enhancing agent, and one or more agriculturally acceptable formulation excipients. The invention further provides a process for preparing the composition by blending, granulating, drying, and sizing the ingredients to obtain free-flowing, dust-free granules. Titanium dioxide substantially reduces ultraviolet-induced degradation of the active ingredient(s), thereby improving photostability, chemical stability, and shelf life, while zinc oxide enhances field persistence, crop health, and biological efficacy. The formulation exhibits excellent dispersibility, rapid wetting, high suspensibility, low dust generation, reduced caking, and superior storage stability. The composition provides prolonged residual insecticidal activity, consistent field performance, and effective control of a broad spectrum of insect pests, making it suitable for commercial agricultural applications.
