Abstract: ABSTRACT A PHOSPHORUS ENRICHED VERMICOMPOST COMPOSITION AND ITS METHOD OF PREPARATION 5 The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a phosphorus1enriched vermicompost composition with enhanced phosphorus bioavailability. The process comprises sequential semi- decomposition of organic substrates with rock phosphate, followed by vermicomposting in a layered system using earthworms under controlled moisture conditions, and subsequent microbial enrichment using 10 phosphorus solubilising bacteria (PSB). The invention provides a nutrient-rich, microbially active biofertilizer characterized by improved physicochemical properties and enhanced microbial load. The resulting composition exhibits improved phosphorus availability and agronomic performance, offering a cost1effective, eco-friendly, and sustainable alternative to conventional fertilizers
