MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611059957 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering And Technology Pharmacy Institute on May 12, 2026, for A Pharmaceutical Composition For Targeted Brain Delivery.
Inventors include Dr. Salahuddin; and Abhijit Debnath.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition for targeted brain delivery is disclosed. The composition comprises a therapeutic agent reservoir within or on a carrier core, an interfacial stabilizing layer, a targeting ligand region, and a release modulating component. The carrier is dispersed in a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle and configured to interact with brain associated biological barriers. The system protects the active agent during administration, facilitates localized barrier interaction, and regulates release after transport association, thereby improving cerebral delivery while reducing undesirable peripheral exposure.
