Abstract: An optical resonator cavity architecture is disclosed for trapping and amplifying a focused electromagnetic beam into a high-amplitude impulse without reverse optical feedback or active electromagnetic components. The apparatus comprises an ambient medium housing a high-index, right-angled triangular coupling prism and a plurality of flat mirrors. The focused input beam enters the prism hypotenuse and exits a side face at the material's critical angle. The exiting wavefront is captured and routed by the flat mirrors along a closed polygon loop path engineered to reinject the light back into the prism hypotenuse at its initial input angle. This precise geometric alignment forces the fresh input beam and the returning loop beam to continuously overlap and constructively interfere at the critical angle exit boundary, compressing the wave energy into a high-amplitude optical impulse suitable for navigation gyroscopes, optical communications, and quantum computing systems.
