Abstract: The present invention discloses a nutrient-dense, clean-label, ready-to-eat functional energy snack composition in the form of portion-controlled cohesive sliced rolls, and a method for its preparation. Formulated entirely from natural, minimally processed ingredients, the composition comprises a structural base of deseeded date paste (Phoenix dactylifera) blended with a roasted dry fruit mixture of almonds (Prunus dulcis), cashews (Anacardium occidentale), and walnuts (Juglans regia), with clarified butter (ghee) acting as the functional lipid processing medium. The energy rolls are uniformly coated with an exterior layer of strawberry seeds (Fragaria x ananassa) to enhance fiber density, antioxidant activity, and texture. The formulation is completely free of refined sugars, chemical preservatives, synthetic food additives, or artificial coloring agents. Analytical characterization of the formulation reveals an ash content of 2.54%, a moisture content of 1.43%, an antioxidant-active vitamin C content of 4.9% per gram, and a crude fat content of 26.73%. This functional snack offers a balanced release of complex carbohydrates, plant proteins, dietary fibers, essential minerals, and healthy fats, supporting cardiovascular activity, metabolic balance, cognitive functions, and general digestive wellness.
