Abstract: The present invention discloses a nutrient-dense, clean-label, ready-to-eat functional snack composition in the form of portion-controlled cohesive sliced rolls, and a method for its preparation. Formulated using natural, minimally processed ingredients, the composition comprises a base of deseeded date paste (Phoenix dactylifera) blended with dry-roasted poppy seeds (Papaver somniferum), a roasted dry fruit mixture of almonds (Prunus dulcis), cashews (Anacardium occidentale), and walnuts (Juglans regia), with clarified butter (ghee) acting as the preparation and texturizing medium. The resulting product is completely free of refined sugar, chemical preservatives, synthetic food additives, and artificial coloring agents. Analytical characterization of the formulation reveals an ash content of 2.12%, a remarkably low moisture content of 0.53%, an antioxidant-active vitamin C content of 3.7% per gram, and a healthy crude lipid profile of 0.67% fat.
