MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202644108207 A) filed by Psg Institute Of Technology And Applied Research on September 09, 2026, for A Novel Skew-Hermitian Assisted Slm Scheme For Papr Minimization In Ofdm Systems.

Inventors include Dr C Arvind; and Dr P Vijayakumar.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: In comparison to the standard selected mapping (SLM) method, this article proposes a skew Hermitian aided SLM scheme (SH-SLM) that achieves PAPR reduction in OFDM signal by a factor of 64.31% and 69.57% for 512 and 1024 sub carriers, respectively. Since the SH-SLM scheme's PAPR reduction performance with less computational complexity makes it more appropriate for 16 QAM modulated OFDM systems, it finds extensive applications in broadband transmission. To support the viability of data transmission between wireless systems, the bit error rate (BER) versus Signal to noise ratio (SNR) performance of 16 QAM modulated OFDM signals processed using the SH-SLM scheme is simulated over the Rician and Rayleigh channels.
