The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: At a range of photon energies ranging from 0.015 to 15 MeV, the gamma-ray shielding capabilities of the glasses that were fabricated were investigated. An investigation on the gamma-ray shielding properties of the BiBFDy glasses was carried out with the assistance of the PSD/Phy-X program. When it comes to the linear attenuation coefficient, the half value layer, the mean free path, and the effective atomic number, as well as the mass attenuation coefficient, the developed glasses display a pattern that is consistent. BiBFDy2.5 glass has the potential to develop glasses that have better radiation absorption when compared to those produced by normal concrete and other glass systems. As a consequence of this, the glass samples that were generated have the potential to be used as shielding materials. As a result, they are a viable substitute for other commercial materials due to their low manufacturing costs and low environmental impact.
