Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a method for extracting bovine collagen using an acidsolubilization technique and the fabrication of a K-carrageenan- incorporated dry foam scaffold through freeze-drying. The scaffold is prepared by blending K-carrageenan, extracted collagen, . .--------- and—polyethylene glycol to obtain a porous, lightweight structure with enhanced biocompatibility. The developed scaffold exhibits high porosity, interconnected pore architecture, and structural stability. The invention is useful for biomedical applications including wound healing, soft tissue regeneration, and as a carrier for controlled drug delivery.
