MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641107119 A) filed by Ajeethkumar Chockalingam on September 06, 2026, for A Notebook With An Integrated Foldable Page-Retaining Structure And Method Of Manufacturing The Same.

Inventor includes Ajeethkumar Chockalingam.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: A notebook (101) comprises writing sheets (102), a notebook-associated sheet (112), and a foldable page-retaining structure (118). The structure includes a retaining lip, first and second hinge fold lines (116A, 116B), and a flexible intermediate hinge region (121). It moves from a stored condition behind the writing sheets to a deployed condition in which the retaining lip (109) overlies a selected writing page (110) and restrains upward displacement caused by airflow. The flexible hinge region adapts to different page-stack thicknesses so that the structure can operate at different positions within the notebook. The retaining structure may be integral with the notebook-associated sheet or separately manufactured and attached. A manufacturing method forms the structure in a production sheet (111), binds the notebook assembly, positions the structure within a protected trimming boundary, and trims the assembly while retaining the deployable structure intact.
