Abstract: ABSTRACT A NON-ISOLATED SINGLE-INPUT ULTRA-HIGH-GAIN QUADRATIC BOOST DC–DC CONVERTER WITH SWITCHED-INDUCTOR VOLTAGE-MULTIPLIER CELLS AND A SELF-VOLTAGE-BALANCING DUAL-SWITCH CONFIGURATION FOR LOW-VOLTAGE SOURCE INTEGRATION The present invention provides a non-isolated single-input ultra-high-gain quadratic boost DC-DC converter integrates switched-inductor cells, voltage-multiplier cells, and a self-voltage-balancing dual-switch configuration for interfacing low-voltage renewable energy sources with high-voltage DC systems. The converter comprises two inductors, two synchronous power switches, five capacitors, and five diodes. By combining switched-inductor and voltage-multiplier cell techniques, the converter achieves an ultra-high quadratic voltage conversion gain G = 2(1+D)/(1-D)² at moderate duty ratios, converting 48V input to 650V output at D=0.526. The circuit topology inherently provides self-voltage-balancing across both switches through capacitor reconfiguration during turn-off, clamping peak switch voltage stress and eliminating external snubber circuits. The first inductor connects in series with the input source to ensure continuous low-ripple input current suitable for solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage systems. Dual-switch independent control enables simultaneous maximum power point tracking and output voltage regulation. Experimental prototype validation at 400W output power, 50kHz switching frequency.
