Abstract: The present invention provides a near-field magnetic induction based bio safe wireless electroencephalogram (EEG) signal acquisition system (100) comprises a wearable EEG cap (1) configured to acquire EEG signals from a user. The acquired EEG signals are provided to an EEG signal acquisition unit (2) configured to perform amplification and noise filtering. A multi-channel analog-to-digital converter (7) digitizes the conditioned EEG signals and supplies the digitized signals to a processing unit (3). The processing unit (3) processes the digitized EEG signals and generates EEG data packets. A near-field magnetic induction (NFMI) transmitter (4) coupled to said processing unit (3), wherein said transmitter (4) includes an NFMI modulation unit and a transmitting coil. An NFMI receiver (5) having a receiving coil and an NFMI demodulation unit receives the transmitted signals through magnetic coupling, recovers the EEG data packets, and provides the recovered EEG data to an external device.
