Abstract: The present invention discloses a natural cosmeceutical gel composition comprising an extract derived from a bio-enhanced, mutated strain of Cordyceps militaris rich in cordycepin and carotenoids. The formulation per 10g of gel comprises 1ml Cordyceps extract, 24ml distilled water, 1g Carbopol 934, 1ml triethanolamine, 0.1g salicylic acid, and 100µl lemongrass essential oil. The Cordyceps militaris strain is subjected to mutagenesis using UV radiation and Ethyl Methane Sulfonate (EMS) to boost bioactive cordycepin levels. The resulting gel provides multifunctional skincare benefits, including anti-ageing, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and skin-repair properties, alongside natural Sun Protection Factor (SPF) activity without using harmful synthetic preservatives, parabens, or propylene glycol.
