Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION Title: A nanoformulation comprising a methylcobalamin docosahexaenoic acid conjugate for sustained neuroprotective delivery in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical nanoformulation comprising a methylcobalamin docosahexaenoic acid (MeCblDHA) conjugate for sustained neuroprotective delivery in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). The nanoformulation comprises the MeCblDHA conjugate incorporated into a pharmaceutically acceptable oilinwater nanoemulsion comprising a surfactant, a co-surfactant, an oil phase, and an aqueous phase. The nanoformulation is prepared by controlled homogenization and particle-size reduction techniques to obtain a stable and pharmaceutically acceptable delivery system. The -r.7.a7:oforn3u/atit-m provides sustained release of the conjugate, improved physicochemical and colloidal stability, enhanced blood brain barrier permeation, prolonged systemic circulation, and sustained neuroprotective activity. The invention further provides a pharmaceutical composition and a process for preparing the nanoformulation for use in the prevention, treatment, management, or delay in the progression of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and other neurodegenerative disordersline" !
